Day 01: Sepilok Orang Utan Rehabilitation Centre.
Meet up upon arrival at the Sandakan airport or pick up at any respective hotel in the morning and proceed to visit Sepilok Orang Utan Rehabilitation Centre approximately 25 minutes. Here is the
chance for you to get close with nature and watch some endangered species like the unique birds and the Orang Utan closely in their natural habitat. The Sepilok Orang Utan Rehabilitation Centre is a home for “Man of the Jungle” also known as Orang Utan in Malay language.
Next, continue to visit Bilit located at Kinabatangan River, home for wildlife by taking a short boat transfer. You might get the chances to see 10 species of primates like Proboscis Monkey,
Langur, Macaques, Orang Utan, Slow Loris and Western Tarsier; different species of hornbills like Rhinoceros Hornbill, Pied Hornbill, Black Hornbill and Helmeted Hornbill; Kingfishers, Bubuls, Trogons, Flycatchers, Sunbirds, Broadbills, Herons, Mangrove snakes, Vipers, Estuarine Crocodile, Asian Elephants and more wildlife. Once arrive at the Bilit, you will receive a warm welcome from the staff there, check in and lunch will be served. After that, short briefing by a licensed nature guide will be given and continue with afternoon cruise (4.00 p.m.). Along the cruise at Kinabatangan River (Sabah’s longest river, 560 km), you can observe the wildlife and mesmerizing the beautiful nature there. Then, you will be having dinner and overnight stay at the Kinabatangan Lodge. An optional night walk can be arranged and pay locally at the lodge.

Day 02: Sukau and Oxbow Lake
Wake up to the calls of Mother Nature and start your day with an early river cruise around 6.00 a.m. that took about 1 hour of journey before proceeding back to the lodge for breakfast. Next,
continue your day with a guided jungle trekking late in the morning through the riverine forest to Danau Bilit (Oxbow Lake) and do some sight-seeing of the wildlife. You might experience to
meet the “bloodsuckers” along the way in the jungle- leeches! Stay calm and relax while treating your eyes and ears to lots of fascinating sight and sound of the nature. Then, trek back to the
lodge for lunch. Free and easy will followed up till 4.00 p.m. before continuing with another afternoon cruise to the other parts of the river. Dinner and overnight stay at Kinabatangan River.

Day 03: Gomantong Cave and Sandakan City Tour
After breakfast, check out from the lodge and you will be transferred to Gomantong Cave, known as the largest limestone and bird nests cave in Sabah where millions of edible swiftlet nests can be found. Next, you will be depart to Sandakan Town for lunch before doing a city tour.
The city tour will bring you to visit Sandakan Memorial Park that known as the past Sandakan Prisoner of War II camp site. It is an honour for the thousands of Australian and British soldiers who died there. It consists of a beautiful scenery hill park, monument and well maintained small museum that showcase a historical proof like a remaining rust excavator and a boiler. Apart from that, you will be visiting the Puu Jhih Shih Buddhist Temple located at the hilly area in Sandakan. Once arrive at the temple, the panoramic view of Sandakan Bay can be seen.
After that, the tour will bring you to visit the historical and oldest church in Sabah called St. Michael Church. It was designed by Mr. B.W. Mountfort from New Zealand. You can see the old building made from belian (ironwood) timber, brick and lastly stones. Then, drive to the Central Market to see or buy local products and fresh seafood as souvenirs. Followed by that is visiting the Agnes Keith Museum that was modified into a heritage house presenting the former British North Borneo life. This museum was formerly lived by one of the renowned American writer, Agnes Newton Keith and her family.
